Fresh Silver Hake

This fish needs immediate chilling when caught or its tasty, firm flesh becomes soft in a very short time. The hake’s body is elongated compared to other cods, with a projecting lower jaw on the elongated, somewhat slender head. Adult fish in the catch range from 24 to 35 centimetres, weighing on average 140-180 grams.
